The start of this Race was delayed due to the withdrawal of DUNDRUM. LIKELY STORY and PIPPIN were slow into stride. DUNDRUM was stubborn, refused to load and was withdrawn. CAPTAINS MOLL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the Starter's report concerning DUNDRUM, this mare's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion. LIBERTY MARKET was inconvenienced behind PIPPIN near the 900-metre mark. Jockey Marcus reported that PIPPIN did not act in the prevailing soft underfoot track condition. In view of the performance of PIPPIN, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. VALLANAUT was hanging in over the final 400 metres. VALLANAUT returned post race having cast the right fore shoe. LIBERTY MARKET raced with cheek pieces on. SOMNIUM raced with cheek pieces. Vet: PIPPIN - nothing obvious detected. BURNT CHERRY - speedy cut right hind. Scratched: DUNDRUM - refused to load and was withdrawn by the Starter.
