The start of this Race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. LOVE CONQUERS ALL was slow into stride. SPECTRALIGHT was slow, losing 1 length. LADY NEGRA spread its right front shoe in running. Jockey van Rensburg reported that he felt something amiss with LADY NEGRA in running. Assistant Trainer Titise was requested to report back on the condition of LADY NEGRA on return to the stables. LITTLE SWIFT over-raced in the early stages. SOUTH ATLANTIC over-raced in the early and middle stages. At approximately the 200m CAT'S WHISKERS shifted out away from the crop. OUR MIRACLE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Scratched: BEAUTIFUL SHAY - insufficient recovery time. WET AUTUMN MIST - off feed. SECRET ANGEL - no suitable jockey available. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed. Several Jockeys and Apprentices were selected for breathalyser tests and the taking of urine samples for analysis.
