DRAGON LI was nervous in the stalls and fractious. CAPTAIN BLACKWATER stumbled leaving the stalls and dislodged Jockey Munger. ARMORIAL was unruly and difficult to load, to be re-schooled. BOLLEMAKIESIE was slow into stride. In view of the Starter's report, a race review was called into the start by a member of the Stipendiary Board. After reviewing the patrol films and consulting the Starter and the rider of CAPTAIN BLACKWATER, no further action was taken. STORM RIDGE was baulked for a clear run between PACYANO and REEF OF FORTUNE from the 400 to 300 metre marks. WITHOUT PERMISSION was hanging inwards from the 300 metre mark. Jockey Fortune reported PEREGRINE KING was not striding out freely in the running. Jockey Minnie reported FLICKER was changing stride in the running. Jockey van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with SUN POWER in the running and eased this gelding out of the race at the 400-metre mark. FLIGHT CAPTAIN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SEYMOUR raced with cheek pieces. Vet: PEREGRINE KING - coughed post race. FLICKER - not striding out right fore. SOVIET COSMONAUT - abnormal respiratory noise. SUN POWER - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and conformed to the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
