MOVIE AWARD was restless in the stalls. Jockey Yeni reported that MOVIE AWARD did not stride out freely in running. In the concluding stages, BAJAN FANTASY was brushed by INANINSTANT, which shifted in marginally. A Stipendiary Steward called a race review into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Jockey van Rensburg, the rider of BAJAN FANTASY, placed second, against the winner, INANINSTANT, on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. The Objection Board, after giving regard to the evidence put forward by the connections, as well as the proximity of the incident to the finish line and the distance of 0.20 between the two horses, was of the opinion that the result not been affected and overruled the objection and allowed the judges' result to stand. Jockey van Rensburg's objection deposit fee was refunded. INANINSTANT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. THE SMELL OF RAIN was ridden by Jockey Sampson. Stewards' permission was granted to Trainer Verdonese to declare a rider after acceptances due to the unavailability of a suitable jockey. SNOWDONIA was ridden by Jockey Munger. To be investigated.
