THE STARTER REPORTED A) MISTRESS OF MEANS was withdrawn by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. B) APOLLO ROCK was slow into stride. C) SARK was stubborn loading. D) FURLA rushed the front gate. E) OASIS QUEEN kicked the back gate in the stalls and slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with APOLLO ROCK in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. B) HECTOR HEATHCOTE (*N Klink) overraced in the early stages. C) When afforded the opportunity to place on record factors which may have accounted for SARK's (G Cheyne) improved performance. Trainer M L Turner could provide no suitable explanation.
