TIFFINDELL was slow into stride. Shortly after the start TIFFINDELL, CHERRY BLISS, ECHO IN ETERNITY and LEAVES OF GRASS (AUS) became cramped for galloping room and had to ease when THE WIDOW'S CLUB shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey Dillon, the rider of THE WIDOW'S CLUB, was charged with a contravention in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners on his inside when he shifted in shortly after the start. Jockey Dillon signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. ECHO IN ETERNITY over-raced in the early and middle stages. At about the 250m PHILAE was held up for a number of strides and switched out to continue his run. PHILAE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CHERRY BLISS - returned having cast the left hind shoe. Scratched: ASHFAHAN - under medication.
