The start of this Race was delayed due to DAMALI having to be re-saddled at the start. There was a further delay due to APHRODEITY'S RAIN rearing in the stalls, injuring herself and being withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. The betting public was given time to re-structure their bets. APHRODEITY'S RAIN reared badly in the stalls. DIAMONDS FOREVER refused to load. BEAU VAR and MARGOT were slow into stride. DAMALI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BLUE JASMINE was hanging in, in the straight. SEATTLE SERENADE over-raced in the early stages. BEAU VAR was hanging in throughout. BAOBAB was cramped for a number of strides shortly after the start. In view of the Starter's report concerning APHRODEITY'S RAIN, this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion.
