The start of this Race was delayed due to the previous Race delays. NINA KATRINA was very stubborn to load and was slow into stride. MUSIC WORLD and PEACE AGAIN lost one length. LITTLE CHAPEL and KILLER WOMAN (NZ) were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Marcus, the rider of KILLER WOMAN (NZ), appeared before the Board with regard to him slowing the pace in front, in the middle stages of the Race, which resulted in LITTLE CHAPEL racing to the front approaching the 1000 metre mark. Jockey Marcus explained that this was a tactical manoeuvre to, in his opinion; give him the best opportunity of beating LITTLE CHAPEL, given that LITTLE CHAPEL normally runs her races with cover. Further he was aware that his mount may not see out the distance of 2000 metres as she had not raced over this distance before. The Board noted Mr Marcus's explanation. Approaching the 150-metre mark NINA KATRINA shifted out, away from the crop, carrying JET INTOMBI out slightly. This resulted in EXPRESSO MARTINI becoming cramped for galloping room along the outside running rail. In view of the performance of PEACE AGAIN, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. In view of the Starter's report concerning NINA KATRINA, this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion. Vet: PEACE AGAIN - abnormal respiratory noise. LITTLE CHAPEL - cut into left hind. Scratched: UPPER ECHELON - Urticaria.
