SHEZALEADER rushed the front gates and dislodged Jockey Forbes after LUNAR RUSH kicked the back gates. SHEZALEADER was removed from the stalls and checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and Jockey Forbes was checked by the Medics before being re-loaded. TIME MARCHES ON and ACCIDENTAL TOURIST were both slow into stride. ARABIAN PARTY lost 1 length. LUNAR RUSH and RED MOON AT NIGHT were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Forbes reported that he felt something amiss with SHEZALEADER and as a result, he did not persevere with his ride in the latter stages. Jockey van Rensburg, the rider of ALIYSA'S PRIZE (ARG), and Apprentice Tarentaal, the rider of ARABIAN PARTY, reported their respective mounts took no interest in running. Jockey van Rensburg signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that he engaged himself to ride the horses ALIYSA'S PRIZE and TIME MARCHES ON in this race. The right side blinker cup on SHEZALEADER became partially detached as a result of this mare being fractious in the starting stalls. The blinkers were inspected post race and found to be in otherwise satisfactory condition. Vet: SHEZALEADER - nothing obvious detected. ALIYSA'S PRIZE (ARG) - not striding out left hind. ARABIAN PARTY - not striding out right hind.
