The start of the 4th Race was delayed as a result of MISS BRODY refusing to load and being withdrawn by the Starter. The balance of the field was removed from the stalls and re-loaded to allow the betting public time to restructure their bets. CATHERINEOFARAGON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the Starter's Report concerning MISS BRODY, the starting stall certificate for this mare has been withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion on race day. Near the 50-metre mark NATIONAL AGENDA, hanging in, shifted in carrying TYRON'S JET inwards and thereafter making contact with TYRON'S JET on two occasions resulting in TYRON'S JET becoming unbalanced, being cramped and having to be eased. Thereafter CATHERINEOFARAGON, hanging in, shifted in away from the crop carrying AZNERAK inwards and resulting in AZNERAK having to be checked and NATIONAL AGENDA and TYRON'S JET becoming cramped at the finish. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward as a result of the above which was followed by an Objection lodged by a Stipendiary Steward on behalf of the fifth placed horse, TYRON'S JET, against the third placed horse, NATIONAL AGENDA, on the grounds of interference in the latter stages. The Board after viewing the patrol videos from the various angles, hearing all the evidence and after considering the distance of a long head between TYRON'S JET and NATIONAL AGENDA was of the opinion that but for the interference, TYRON'S JET would have beaten NATIONAL AGENDA and therefore upheld the Objection and amended the Judge's result. Apprentice Ngwane signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that, as the rider of CATHERINEOFARAGON, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the runners on his inside in the latter stages. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. In view of the performance of KINGSVIEW, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Jockey Winnaar reported that he felt something amiss with GOOGLE ME in the pull-up area. KINGSVIEW new merit rating 60 and new mass 57kgs. Vet: GOOGLE ME - broke down left fore. Euthanased. Selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. KINGSVIEW - coughing. NATIONAL AGENDA - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: MISS BRODY - refused to load and was withdrawn by the Starter.
