HEREFORD jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. In view of the performances from KIRUMBO and HEREFORD, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings on their return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Jockey Domeyer reported that he felt something amiss with OVAR in running. ZUD WES was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: OVAR and HEREFORD - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. KIRUMBO - returned coughing. Scratched: AL WAHED - Urticaria. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
