In view of the performance of TEMPLE RUN, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was asked to examine this horse. NEMBA BEACH was hanging in, in the final 200 metres. Trainer Swanson appeared before the Stipendiary Board and was questioned into the improved run of SUPA WONDER (ZIM). Trainer Swanson's explanation was that this was a lower division and a shorter distance, and obviously he enjoyed the softer going. Trainer Swanson's explanation was noted. SUPA WONDER (ZIM) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: TEMPLE RUN - was examined post race and nothing untoward was found. Scratched: AQABA - lame right front and was withdrawn by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
