The start of this Race was delayed due to the previous Race delay and the starting stalls having to be re-aligned before loading could commence. There was a further delay due to the withdrawal of AZNERAK at the start. Time was taken to allow the betting public to re-structure their bets. STORM KITTEN and NORTHERN STORM lost one length. NATIONAL AGENDA threw her head up and lost one length. TUTTA MAGEE (BRZ) was difficult to load and was restless in the stalls. BOMBSHELL GIRL was very stubborn and difficult to load. STORM KITTEN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the Starter's report concerning TUTTA MAGEE (BRZ), this mare's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion. In view of the Starter's report concerning BOMBSHELL GIRL, this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion. The Veterinary Surgeon withdrew AZNERAK at the start as a result of a bleeding puncture wound on this filly's left side neck. AZNERAK was escorted to the specimen collection area where a specimen was taken for analysis. Mr Scott's head groom was questioned and this matter has been adjourned. JE SUIS SILVER shifted in near the 700-metre mark resulting in TUTTA MAGEE (BRZ) having to be eased momentarily. Jockey Ntuli, the rider of JE SUIS SILVER, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in races in future. BOMBSHELL GIRL was hanging in throughout and was difficult to assist in the latter stages. NATIONAL AGENDA was hanging in, in the straight, shifted in approaching the 100-metre mark resulting in LILY GRAY having to be eased and TUTTA MAGEE (BRZ) being momentarily cramped along the inside running rail. Apprentice Moodley signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention, in that as the rider of NATIONAL AGENDA, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the runners on his inside approaching the 100-metre mark. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. NATIONAL AGENDA returned post race having cast the right fore shoe. In view of the performances of TUTTA MAGEE (BRZ) and LILY GRAY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these mares. Jockey Zackey replaced Jockey Samuel on ROYAL KAITRINA and this filly raced with a tongue tie. Vet: TUTTA MAGEE (BRZ) - not striding out right fore. LILY GRAY - not striding out left fore. ROY'S ZAIRE - moderate post race distress. Scratched: LA DI VAR and CLASS ACT - eliminated. RUSSIAN GIRL - change of venue. AZNERAK - bleeding from the jugular and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
