JUST JACK proved reluctant to proceed to the start and subsequently, during the loading process. Trainer Erasmus was advised that should this colt behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. ISLAND RHYTHM broke through the front gate, was restrained by the rider, returned to the start, inspected and withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. These two incidents caused a delay to the start of this Race. The starting stalls certificate for ISLAND RHYTHM has been withdrawn. In view of the Starter's report with regard to ISLAND RHYTHM, this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable loading into the starting stalls. GIMMEABREAK was restless in the stalls. DRE'S LEGACY and SINGASWEWIN lost 1 length. Jockey Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with SNOW IN SEATTLE in running. In the concluding stages, GIMMEABREAK had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed between DANCING REBEL, which was hanging out, and PACHACUTI, which rolled in. In the concluding stages, SILVER KING was brushed by KING OF MANI, which shifted out marginally away from the crop. SILVER KING was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. GIMMEABREAK raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: LAST LAUGH - lame right front. SNOW IN SEATTLE - examined post race, no significant findings. Scratched: WESTERN WARRIOR and FLEMINGTON (AUS) - transport breakdown. ISLAND RHYTHM - injured in pens.
