GADGET MAN, which was restless in the stalls, jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with JACK BLACK. The Off time was rescheduled due to the delay in Race 2. IMPERIAL CAPTAIN refused to parade and proceed to the start, dislodged the rider and was led to the start by a lead pony. Trainer Mrs Bass-Robinson will be advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in its future engagements it may be suspended. In view of the performance from PERGOLA, which was hanging out and tired quickly in the latter stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Jockey Noach reported that he felt something amiss with BLACK PIMPINEL in running. GADGET MAN was hanging out from the 300m. LOADSHEDDER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PERGOLA raced fitted with a full set of alumites. Vet: PERGOLA - returned fatigued. BLACK PIMPINEL - returned coughing.
