Jockey Nyawo did not ride at today's racemeeting (family responsibility). He was replaced on his mounts. LORD LUTON was slow losing two lengths. KNOWINGLY was slow into stride. The saddle on KNOWINGLY slipped back in running. Jockey Munger reported that MONTE CARLO PLAYER took no interest in running. Trainer Prinsloo was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables. The Stipendiary Board reviewed the start with regards to LORD LUTON in the stall gate 7 and established that the front gate bounced back marginally shortly after the start was effected, but did not make contact with LORD LUTON or play a role in this horse losing two lengths, therefore the only action the Stewards took was to instruct the Operator to replace the suction pads on stall gate 7. PRINCE OF SAVOY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PROPHETS THUMB raced with a tongue tie on. Vet: VICTORIOUS ROCHELE - not striding out both front. MONTE CARLO PLAYER - examined post race, no significant findings.
