THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TEETOTAL (*T Gumede) lost 3 lengths. b) SOLICITOR GENERAL (*J Gates) and MACALLAN (L Hewitson) came together and brushed. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Jockey K de Melo reported that HATHAWAY (4.50 lengths) made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) LORD CARO (D Dillon) was hanging in from the 300m. c) Shortly before the finish Apprentice J Gates (SOLICITOR GENERAL) dropped his left side rein which he re-gained after the finish. d) An investigation will be opened into the contact between SOLICITOR GENERAL (*J Gates) and MACALLAN (L Hewitson) in the concluding stages. e) Trainer J Guthrie appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding the poor performance of SOLICITOR GENERAL on the 07 June 2020. In this regard, she explained that this gelding which has breathing issues, had choked up in the running in its last run which had accounted for the poor performance. Notwithstanding this explanation, Trainer J Guthrie's attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to in and out running and advised that should this horse not maintain consistent form going forward, it may be suspended. f) SOLICITOR GENERAL (*J Gates), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Guthrie advised (ML). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) TILMEETH raced without blinkers (advised 07.09.20/7h32). b) MAMMA'S BOY raced equipped with blinkers and without cheek pieces (advised 03.09.20/10h47). c) RAMSAY was ridden by Jockey T Godden (Reserve runner) and raced without cheek pieces and tongue tie (advised 07.09.20/7h07). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) HATHAWAY : Nothing obvious detected.
