The start of this Race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race and the subsequent late scratching of OCEANS TRIP by the course Veterinary Surgeon. DR FINLEY stumbled shortly after start. BULLE BAKKIES over-raced in the early stages. When questioned regarding his ride on SECRET DELIGHT, Apprentice Hewitson explained to the Board that this gelding had been sluggish in the early part of the race and did not have the speed to go with the field, thereafter, when turning for home; he elected to take this gelding to the outside to avoid the kick back. DANCINGWITHJACKSON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: TRADE EMBLEM - not striding out right front. Scratched: OCEANS TRIP - lame left front.
