Jockey Forbes did not ride at tonight's race meeting due to being medically indisposed. Jockey Barnes did not ride at tonight's meeting as he was unable to furnish documentary proof of his medical aid and insurance. The start of the 1st Race was delayed as a result of the farrier having to replace the right fore shoe on SILVER JAY at the start. SILVER JAY and ANAAR KALEE lost 1 length. SILVER JAY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey de Melo, the rider of DANISH CROSS, and Jockey Godden, the rider of ANAAR KALEE, reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts in running. In view of the performance of SONIC A P, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Mgudlwa signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that he failed to report to the Clerk of Scales at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the first race in which he was engaged to ride SILVER JAY. Vet: DANISH CROSS and SONIC A P - nothing obvious detected. ANAAR KALEE - lame right fore and coughing.
