WAVEBREAKER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. KING DJANGO became cramped and was steadied on the inside of SAILABRATE near the 800-metre mark. SAILABRATE shifted in near the 150-metre mark brushing GREAT VALUE. PYRENEES IN SPAIN shifted out near the 150-metre mark brushing SILVER RIDGE. Thereafter PYRENEES IN SPAIN shifted out away from the crop slightly resulting in a tiring SILVER RIDGE having to be steadied. Jockey Delpech, the rider of SILVER RIDGE, and Jockey de Melo, the rider of HO'OPONOPONO, reported their respective mounts not striding out freely in the latter stages. In view of the performance of KINGSMEAD, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Vet: SILVER RIDGE - nothing obvious detected. HO'OPONOPONO - coughing. KINGSMEAD - not striding out behind. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
