THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HARVEST MAIDEN (*N Klink) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice N Klink reported that HARVEST MAIDEN did not stride out freely in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) ANNA CAPRI (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee N Radford, acting on behalf of Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen, advised (RH). c) GREENS (*L J Ferraris), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter advised (LN). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) RAPID FIRE was ridden by Jockey G Lerena (declared10 September 2020 at 12H34). b) WINTERDREAMS was ridden by Jockey C Bantam (declared10 September 2020 at 08H00). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) RAPID FIRE raced equipped with blinkers (declared 10 September 2020 at 08H02). Trainer Fortune accepted to race this filly last week following the Vaal receiving 10mm of rain, however after walking the track this morning she was of the opinion that the going was too firm and requested that this filly be scratched. The board, acting in terms of rule 4.2.16, and considering that WINTER SMOKE was scratched on the 15/08/2020 lame left front, granted permission (advised 10 September 2020 at 08H00). b) SOUTHERN CHARM off feed (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies).
