SEATTLE GOLD broke through the front gate as the start was about to be effected, was immediately restrained, returned to the start and reloaded. PRANCING jumped awkwardly losing three lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. Jockey Dillon reported that he felt something amiss with DON'T STOP DANCING in running. At about the 450m MORETHANTHAT (AUS) switched out and bumped the hindquarters of BAQUEIRA, which became unbalanced. Apprentice Bantam appeared before the Board and was advised to take more care when shifting ground in future. Leaving the 400m PHILAE, which attempted a narrow run, was carried out slightly by SHANGRI LA and brushed TENDER TRIP. Apprentice Juglall rode a satisfactory qualifying ride on BAQUEIRA. PHILAE and TENDER TRIP were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DON'T STOP DANCING raced fitted with a tongue tie. Vet: SEATTLE GOLD - examined at the start, mouth injury, and was declared fit to race. DON'T STOP DANCING - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: KONKOLA - coughing.
