MAMBO TANGO was reluctant to load. BRITISH FAIRY was fractious in the stalls. HEIR TO RICHES was slow away and lost many lengths. TROTSKA ducked away from another runner en route to the start, dislodged Jockey Danielson and bolted. TROTSKA was caught, examined and cleared fit to race by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, this delayed the start. BRITISH FAIRY stumbled leaving the stalls. In view of the Starter's Report HEIR TO RICHES's Starting Stall Certificate is withdrawn and is to be recertified tractable "to jump on terms" prior to racing again. COUNT DU CAP raced wide on the turn. Jockey Zechner reported that BONFIRE NIGHT was changing stride continuously in the running. MAMBO TANGO raced green. Jockey Naidoo reported that DEEP SEEKER was not striding out freely in the running and he did not persevere with his ride over the final 100 metres. Jockey Murray reported that he felt something amiss with MISS ZENOBIA in the running. BUCK EYE was hanging outwards over the final 200 metres and ducked outwards away from the crop passing the 100 metre mark. Jockey Gould was brought before the Board, shown the patrol film of this incident and advised to take more care when using his crop on a horse that is hanging in future. BUCK EYE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Greeff was questioned regarding the improved performance of BUCK EYE compared to his previous race on the 03/02/2017. Trainer Greeff explained that this gelding had only had two races for his stable and could offer no explanation. The Board will review the patrol films of this gelding's previous races. Jockey Minnie was stood down by the Course Medical Officer after the running of this race due to a back spasm. LILY BREEZE raced with steel shoes in front and unshod behind. Vet: COUNT DU CAP - coughed post race. BONFIRE NIGHT - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. BUCK EYE - cast left front shoe. DEEP SEEKER abnormal respiratory noise, cast left front shoe. MISS ZENOBIA - abnormal respiratory noise.
