KINGS LANDING was stubborn loading. SOLDAT was stubborn loading and stumbled shortly after the start. PSYCHIC was stubborn loading and lost 1 length. DUKE OF EDINBURGH (AUS) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. WITCH KING lost 1 length. Jockey Wrogemann reported that he felt something amiss with DANCING REBEL in running. KINGS LANDING shifted in away from the crop from the 300m. Thereafter Apprentice Ngcobo briefly dropped his left side rein in the concluding stages. Shortly before the finish line MESS was bumped by KING OF MANI, which shifted out away from the crop. MESS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. WITCH KING raced unshod. Vet: SOLDAT - mild post race distress. DANCING REBEL - not striding out left front. VALADO - not striding out right front. Scratched: CAPTAIN ROCKHOPPER and MUNTU - change of date. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed. Several Jockeys and Apprentices were selected for breathalyser tests and the taking of urine samples for analysis.
