CHAPEL DANCE was slow into stride. ROY'S WONDER and PINA COLADA lost one length. LA SUERTE DE MATAR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Lerena, the rider of MERMAID MAMBO, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. In view of the performance of BEAN'S BEAUTY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. ROY'S WONDER and CHAPEL DANCE were momentarily inconvenienced shortly after the start as a result of KHETIWE (AUS) jumping inwards. PINA COLADA raced green. ZINGARA IRE raced with a tongue tie. Jockey Wright replaced Jockey Daniels on ROY'S WONDER as a result of transport breakdown. Vet: BEAN'S BEAUTY - not striding out behind. Scratched: UP IN SMOKE and LUNAR TIDE - insufficient recovery time. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
