ICED UP was slow into stride. KINGS LADY lost one length. ROY'S EMBLEM jumped awkwardly losing three lengths. FASHION TALK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. At approximately the 350-metre mark ARIES broke down and ducked outwards towards the outside running rail. This resulted in VALLANAUT having to steady off the heels of ARIES and switch in onto the heels of ICED UP, which resulted in VALLANAUT again having to ease. ROY'S EMBLEM was forced to ease off the heels of ARIES for a number of strides at the 300-metre mark. Jockey Sturgeon reported that he felt something amiss with VALLANAUT in running. In view of the performance of ROY'S EMBLEM, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. FASHION TALK raced in Club Colours. Vet: VALLANAUT - not striding out right fore. ROY'S EMBLEM - overreached left fore and coughing. ARIES - broke down right fore. Scratched: ZILLA - urticaria. TOPAZ RAIN - insufficient recovery time. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
