TRACK-KING was nervous in the stalls and reared, to be re-schooled. ARMORIAL was nervous in the stalls and jumped awkwardly. ACE ANTONIUS shifted inwards passing the 1100 metre mark, which resulted in TRACK-KING being cramped and forced to ease, Jockey van Niekerk was unbalanced for a stride from this movement. An inquiry will be opened into this incident. BRAVE VISION was hanging inwards in the home straight. Jockey Fortune reported that STORMING HOME was not striding out freely in the running and eased this gelding out of the race at the 200 metre mark. Jockey Zackey reported that DANCE IN THE WOODS, Jockey Zechner reported that ON MY WITS ALONE and Jockey Bogaleboile reported that RAVISHING LAD, respectively, were not striding out freely in the running. In view of the performance of TRACK-KING, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Assistant Trainer McLachlan was advised to monitor this gelding over the next 48 hours and report back to the Stipendiary Board. CLASSIFY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: DANCE IN THE WOODS, ON MY WITS ALONE and TRACK-KING - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. STORMING HOME - not striding out in front. RAVISHING LAD - coughed post race.
