THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OUR WORLD (M Byleveld), TWO FOR THE ROAD (S Mbhele) and FRENCH DECLARATION (AUS) (R Khathi) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ERTURUL (*L Tarentaal) dislodged her apprentice jockey on the way to the start, bolted the course, was examined by the course veterinary surgeon and scratched, causing a delay. b) At the 1200m, OUR WORLD (M Byleveld) was tightened for galloping room and forced to check when bumped inwards by QUEEN LOUISE (*X Jacobs) which was carried in by HIEMS VENIT (D Ashby) which shifted in. Jockey D Ashby was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of HIEMS VENIT, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to runners on his inside at the 1200m. Jockey Ashby signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates: 15/09/2020 to 21/09/2020 inclusive) c) Apprentice X Jacobs, the rider of QUEEN LOUISE, which was hanging out and raced wide on the bend, dropped his crop approaching the 800m. d) GATE SIXTY NINE (*J Solomons) gradually shifted in from the 150m. Apprentice Solomons dropped his crop while changing his crop to his left in an attempt to straighten this filly shortly before the finish. Apprentice Solomons appeared before the Board and was advised to react sooner when his mounts are shifting ground. e) ROYAL BLUE (G Cheyne) raced green. f) AFFIRMATION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
