KOUNIA BELLA was slow away and lost 2 lengths. GENIUS BAR was slow into stride and lost 1 length. BRITISH FAIRY stumbled leaving the stalls. MOONSABALLOON and MY PREROGATIVE over-raced in the early stages. MY PREROGATIVE compounded over the final 200 metres. Jockey Maujean reported that KOUNIA BELLA was not striding out freely in the running and he did not persevere with his ride from the 400 metre mark. RAINBOW SKINK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. KARAT raced in Club Colours Jockey Khathi signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention, read in conjunction with the Guidelines on overweight, in that he was unable to weigh out at the carded weight or the weight confirmed in his riding engagement to ride KOUNIA BELLA for Trainer Strydom. KOUNIA BELLA raced with a full set of alumites. Vet: BRITISH FAIRY and MY PREROGATIVE - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. VARZEN - abnormal respiratory noise. KOUNIA BELLA - not striding out in front.
