ALGHADEER cast the right front shoe en route to the start, which was refitted by the Course Farrier. This caused a delay to the start. Jockey Danielson, the rider of CROWN OF GOLD, and Jockey Zackey, the rider of CURRENT EVENT, reported that they felt something amiss with their mounts in the running. Jockey Maujean reported that KILLUA CASTLE (AUS) was not striding out freely in the running. Jockey Lerena reported that ULTIMATE DOLLAR made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running.
