The start of the 3rd Race was delayed due to the withdrawal of STOLA, the tote favourite, at the start. STOLA knocked her head on the gates and was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. RAES' DYNA JET was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the performances of LUNGI and STREETS OF GOLD, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Kennedy was suffering from syncope and stood down. Vet: LUNGI - not striding out left hind. STREETS OF GOLD - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: STOLA - examined at the start. Injured head in stalls. Bleeding from left nostril and mouth. Withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
