DUBLIN REBEL lost 4 lengths. SECRET SUCCESS lost 1 length. SELVAN'S JET and AQUA BLUE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Wright was questioned regarding the improved performance of SELVAN'S JET, compared to this gelding's previous two runs. She explained to the Board that in those races this gelding had raced sluggishly in the early stages and for today's run she had fitted SELVAN'S JET with blinkers which had resulted in this gelding being able to race more handily which had accounted for the improvement. Mrs Wright has undertaken to race this gelding equipped with blinkers in future. In view of the Starter's report concerning DUBLIN REBEL, the starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn until recertified tractable to jump on terms with a companion. Due to the performances of DUBLIN REBEL, KINGS APPROVAL and YURIES GOLD, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. Jockey Brown's, the rider of SECRET SUCCESS, right foot slipped out of the stirrup iron at the 250 metre mark, which he regained shortly thereafter. Vet: DUBLIN REBEL - not striding out left hind. KINGS APPROVAL and YURIES GOLD - coughing.
