The Medical Officer Reported that Jockey Kennedy was examined prior to the 1st Race and declared fit to ride today. Jockey Yeni submitted a clearance from the Jockey Club of Greece after having ridden there on the 12.3.2017. Apprentice Ngwane no longer claims an apprentice allowance. FULL COUNT and LUCKDRAGON both lost 1 length. TOUCH WOOD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. FULL COUNT raced green. In view of the performance of FULL COUNT, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Approaching the 200 metre mark TOUCH WOOD shifted out from the crop. Thereafter TOUCH WOOD shifted in away from the crop approaching the 150 metre mark. Passing the 50 metre mark TOUCH WOOD shifted out from the crop, carrying FLOWER BLUE outwards, resulting in FLOWER BLUE having to be eased and forced to check off the heels of TOUCH WOOD. As a result UP IN SMOKE racing along the outside running rail was forced to steady shortly before the finish. An Inquiry will be held into this incident. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward into this incident and after reviewing the patrol videos from the various angles and considering the distance between these runners at the time of the incident, and the close proximity to the finish line, took no further action. Q BEHIND ME was cramped and switched in shortly before the finish. THE LION GUARD raced fitted with his tongue tied down. Vet: FULL COUNT - coughing.
