BROOKLYN BRAWLER bolted en route to the start, was examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon and declared fit to race. BROOKLYN BRAWLER was pulling in the early stages and compounded passing the 200 metre mark. MASTER JAMES over-raced in the early stages and compounded passing the 200 metre mark and rolled outwards slightly, simultaneously READYTOGORIGHTNOW (AUS) was hanging inwards which resulted in THE CAT and TRUE MASTER becoming cramped for galloping room for several strides between MASTER JAMES and READYTOGORIGHTNOW. Jockey Lerena, the rider of JET EXPLORER, was brought before the Board, shown the patrol film of the closing stages of the race and reminded of his obligation to ride with sufficient vigour to the end of the race. OUR ICON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: JET EXPLORER - not striding out behind. MASTER JAMES - cast right front shoe. BROOKLYN BRAWER - checked post race, nothing obvious detected.
