DEO JUVENTE spread its right front shoe en route to the start, which was attended to by the course farrier, causing a delay to the start of this Race. Jockey Strydom reported that SAMURAI BLADE (AUS) made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. STONEHENGE over-raced in the early stages and commenced to give ground to the field in the concluding stages. An inquiry will be opened to establish why DEO JUVENTE and FRENCH NAVY were carried in from the 400m. BRAZUCA (AUS) and DEO JUVENTE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
