LOOKAMEE was slow into stride. Jockey Lerena was fined for a misdemeanour at the start for failing to obey instruction from the Starter. This fine was confirmed by the Stipendiary Board. REASONABLE DOUBT spread its right hind shoe en route to the start, which was re-fitted by the Course Farrier. LAIKIPIA was hanging inwards over the final 200 metres. Jockey Lerena refused to fulfil the remainder of his riding engagements after the running of this race as he felt unsafe. An Inquiry will be opened into the circumstances surrounding his refusal. PRETTY WOMAN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ELUSIVE MIST - abnormal respiratory noise. PRETTY WOMAN - cut into right hind. SKYE GIRL and LOOKAMEE - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. PINKAN MAMBO - not striding out right front. Scratched: STORM BREWING - not eating up. LILY BREEZE - swollen right front.
