Removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to POLLYGONESHOPPING(W Kennedy), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 17.09.20 to the 23.09.20. POLLYGONESHOPPING may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer G H van Zyl was advised. (SH) b) At the 100m, Jockey M Yeni (MOTHER DUCK) accidentally had his crop struck from his hand by Jockey G Wright (QUE FOR YOU). c) KOALA (T Godden) was hanging in, in the closing stages. d) NINETALES (B Jacobson) was hanging in, in the straight. e) Jockey G Wright signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse QUE FOR YOU more than 12 times in the entire race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey G Wright , the Board considered the number of times (17) Jockey G Wright struck the horse QUE FOR YOU, the distance over which and manner in which Jockey G Wright used his crop and his record (1) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a fine of R1000 was imposed. f) Jockey S Moodley signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse TOP ME UP HOLLY more than 12 times in the entire race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey S Moodley, the Board considered the number of times (15) Jockey S Moodley struck the horse TOP ME UP HOLLY, the distance over which and manner in which Jockey S Moodley used his crop and his record (2) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a fine of R1500 was imposed. g) TREASURED PEARL (A Arries), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
