The Off time was rescheduled at the request of Phumelela. PLATINUM PRINCE was fractious and kicked in the stalls. The back gates of 6 & 7 were damaged during the loading procedure which resulted in the field being unloaded and then reloaded without using stall gates 6 & 7 causing a delay. PLATINUM PRINCE was slow losing one length. ROYAL TRUMP (AUS) was slow into stride. STORM FRONT jumped awkwardly inwards losing one length. In view of the report from the Starter concerning PLATINUM PRINCE, Trainer Snaith will be advised that this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn. In a tightly bunched field, approaching the 1400m, ROYAL TRUMP (AUS), which pulled hard in the early stages was tightened for galloping room and had to ease for a number of strides. PLATINUM PRINCE was held up for a clear run between the 200m and 100m. WAYWOOD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
