GREEN PEPPER broke the front gate open. Trainer Janse van Vuuren was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. EXQUISITE TOUCH reared in stalls. Jockey Lerena was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline C on the use of the crop, in that he struck the horse RED CHESTNUT ROAD more than three times on consecutive strides. Jockey Lerena signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. EXQUISITE TOUCH and GREEN PEPPER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PILLAR OF HERCULES was ridden by Jockey Fourie. Permission was granted for this jockey change. Jockey Marcus received medical treatment on the 27th and 30th of March (medical certificate received), which affected his weight and precluded him from riding this horse at 56kg. Consideration was also given to the fact that this jockey change was made a full 48 hours before the raceday. Jockey Marwing was charged with an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that he was unable to fulfil his riding engagement. Jockey Marwing signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined.
