GODSWOOD WAS STUBBORN LOADING. THIS LED TO THE DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GODSWOOD (W Kennedy) was stubborn loading. Trainer P A Peter was advised to reschool this colt prior to his next engagement (LS). b) SMUTS (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. Stable Employee M Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Dawson, was advised to reschool this colt prior to his next engagement (LS). c) FOREST PHOENIX (D De Gouveia) and SONNY QUINN (C Zackey) were stubborn loading. d) LORD AMOUR (M Yeni) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. e) FOREST PHOENIX (D De Gouveia), SMUTS (G Lerena) and TRUST THE FIRE (*T Juglall) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 400m BLACK FRIDAY (C Bantam) had to steady momentarily when tightened for galloping room on the outside of HEART OF HARLEM (J Greyling) which shifted out away from the crop. b) At approximately the 300m GODSWOOD (W Kennedy) shifted out away from the crop, thereafter GODSWOOD (W Kennedy) was carried out marginally by BREAK THE SILENCE (L Hewitson) which also shifted out away from the crop from the 200m, then in the concluding stages GODSWOOD (W Kennedy) commenced to hang out. c) PROCRASTINATOR (S Khumalo) shifted out away from the crop from the 200m. d) BREAK THE SILENCE (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S J Gray advised (GF). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) TRUST THE FIRE raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind (declared 10 September 2020 at 14H06).
