SWEET REFRAIN was stubborn to load. CRIME VICTIM and RIO DE LA PLATA lost 1 length. TECHNO CAPTAIN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the performance of ICE RIDGE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. At approximately the 300 metre mark Jockey Veale's, the rider of TECHNO CAPTAIN, right foot slipped out of the right side stirrup iron, which he regained at approximately the 75 metre mark. Jockey Godden signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that, as the rider of SWEET REFRAIN, he was unable to weigh out at the carded weight as confirmed in his engagement with the trainer resulting in a change of rider. RIO DE LA PLATA raced fitted with cheek-pieces. Vet: ICE RIDGE - nothing obvious detected.
