Apprentice Mphanya (Stipes permission), Jockey van der Merwe (medically indisposed) and Jockey Zechner (medically indisposed) did not ride at today's race meeting. They were replaced on their mounts. VANISHED lifted its left front shoe en route to the start, which was attended to by the Course Farrier. Subsequently VANISHED was restless in the stalls, reared and injured itself and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. These incidents caused a delay to the start of this Race. The starting stalls certificate for VANISHED has been withdrawn. In view of the Starter's report with regard to VANISHED, this gelding has been suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable in the starting stalls. VANISHED may not be presented for repassing during this period. IMPERIAL OUNCE shifted out away from the crop from the 400m. RED CLOUD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SALVADORE raced equipped with cheek pieces. VANISHED proceeded to the start in the Colours of Mr J Nassif: Yellow, Green Stars, Black Sleeves, Yellow Cap (sold with engagements). Vet: OPTICAL ILLUSION - coughing. Scratched: VANISHED - injured in the stalls, lame left hind after further examination. Indefinite suspension for full veterinary report. MUSIC MAKER - abnormal temperature.
