TOM IVORS was restless in the stalls. SILVER CENT jumped awkwardly and lost 1 length. STRUMMER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. At approximately the 800 metre mark, in a tightly bunched field, LAVENDER BANK, racing on the inside of SABER'S BEADS, became cramped for galloping room, made contact with the inside running rail and had to be checked, losing position. The Board will review this incident. PHOEBUS was hanging in, in the straight. Jockey Delpech reported that he felt something amiss with TOUCH WOOD in running. Jockey Forbes reported that he felt something amiss with PHOEBUS in running. JASON ARGO raced wide and was hanging in throughout. In view of the performances of LAVENDER BANK and TOM IVORS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. TOM IVORS did not race fitted with his tongue tied down. SILVER CENT raced fitted with alumites both fore and unshod behind. Vet: PHOEBUS and TOUCH WOOD - coughing. LAVENDER BANK - nothing obvious detected. TOM IVORS - lame left hind. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
