THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE LATE SCARTCHING OF SLOANE. THE STARTER REPORTED A) SLOANE was withdrawn by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. B) ESCAPE TO VEGAS was slow into stride, losing 1 length. C) NANNA ANNA was stubborn loading. D) LA DUCHESSE was slow into stride. E) LAW AND ORDER and SHINE A LIGHT were nervous in the stalls. F) SCOLDING was stubborn loading. G) FURLA was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this mare is withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SCOLDING (X Ndlovu), this mare's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 19 September 2020 to 25 September 2020 both days included. SCOLDING may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer E Kaknis was advised. B) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with GOODBYE LOVE in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Even though his riding of GOODBYE LOVE did not result in him losing a position, Jockey L Mxothwa was nevertheless advised to ride his mounts out to the finish line. C) NANNA ANNA (S Naidoo) was obliged to race wide for a short distance on the outside of LAW AND ORDER (D R Lerena) which was hanging out and raced awkwardly on the bend.
