KUMIKO refused to jump. MIRANDA FROST, which was fractious in the stalls, flyjumped causing the rider to become unbalanced losing three lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. SEATTLE OAK was restless in the stalls. Apprentice Bantam, the rider of STATE BALLET, was charged with a contravention in that he failed to proceed to the parade ring timeously after being instructed to do so by the Clerk of Scales. Apprentice Bantam signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. The start was reviewed regarding KUMIKO in stall gate 9 and after reviewing the patrol films the Board was satisfied that the mare had not been impeded and had refused to jump on terms, therefore she was declared to be a runner. In view of the report from the Starter concerning MIRANDA FROST, Trainer Ramsden will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. In view of the report from the Starter concerning KUMIKO, Trainer Kruyer will be advised that this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn. TWINKLE TOES was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. HOIST THE MAST raced with alumites in front and unshod behind. KUMIKO raced without a tongue tie. Vet: MIRANDA FROST - returned with a mouth injury. DIVA FEVER - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise. KUMIKO - returned with a mouth injury.
