EMERALD GAL (IRE) was restless in the stalls. FRESNAYE was slow into stride. STRAWBERRY GIRL jumped awkwardly losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. FRESNAYE raced green. Jockey Byleveld reported that STRAWBERRY GIRL did not stride out freely in the latter stages. Jockey van Niekerk, the rider of EMERALD GAL (IRE), and Jockey Andrews, the rider of SAMSARA, appeared before the Board and were reminded of the conditions of the straight course Rule. EMERALD GAL (IRE) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: STRAWBERRY GIRL - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
