LORD HOGAN and JUST POSITIVE were both slow into stride. SPUN OUT (AUS) and WINTER WOLF both lost 1 length. JUST POSITIVE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. CALL TO BATTLE over-raced in the early stages and as a result raced to the front. SEATTLE SPELL was hanging in badly in the straight. TURF CONQUEROR was momentarily inconvenienced on the outside of ANGEL LANDING at approximately the 250 metre mark. In view of the performance of SEATTLE SPELL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Kennedy was the rider of ANGEL LANDING (Trainer was unable to declare a jockey due to being overseas and having communication problems). ROYAL YEVAHN raced fitted with alumites. GOLD CHALICE raced with his tongue tied down. WINTER WOLF raced fitted with alumites both fore and steels behind. Vet: SEATTLE SPELL - nothing obvious detected. Trainer Howells was requested to report back to the Stewards should he find anything amiss with this gelding on return to stables.
