CAPE FLING (IRE) and WINTER AURALIUS were both slow into stride. ROMAN EMPEROR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. LONELY ARETHEBRAVE and PIROGUE made contact at approximately the 1500 metre mark resulting in CAPE FLING (IRE), who was racing on the inside of PIROGUE, becoming cramped and easing. PIROGUE was momentarily cramped at approximately the 100 metre mark. CAPE FLING (IRE), hanging in, shifted in, in the closing stages. TERABYTE over-raced in the early stages. In view of the performance of AIR CHIEF MARSHAL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Due to a change of ownership, the Ownership of PIROGUE to read: Messrs D J Hawkins, Douglas Campbell & M D Gaskon; and the Colours are: Emerald, orange sleeves, brown cap. Vet: AIR CHIEF MARSHAL - fatigued. Scratched: WYNKELDER - insufficient recovery time - raced 16.4.2017.
