SMART WORLD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. At approximately the 250 metre mark, ICY AVALANCHE, hanging in, shifted in which resulted in VARIETY ROMP being carried inwards and momentarily inconvenienced at approximately the 100 metre mark. This resulted in CUDUIARI having to be switched out to obtain a clear run. Apprentice Mjoka, the rider of ICY AVALANCHE, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take stronger measures to ensure that he keeps his mounts on a straight course in races in future. SMART WORLD was hanging in over the final 300 metres. Apprentice Moodley, the rider of CUDUIARI, accidentally dropped his crop at approximately the 100 metre mark. FOR EVER was pulling hard in the early stages. In view of the performances of NIGHT LOCK and DUBLIN REBEL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. The Ownership should read DUBLIN REBEL should read: Messrs L J Muir & R A Hill; and the Colours are: blue and white stripes. NIGHT LOCK has a new merit rating 61 and new mass 59.5kgs.
