LOBELIA and BLACK CASHMERE lost one length. JUDITH ANNE kicked the back gates continuously, was removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and reloaded. FIELD OF LIGHT was restless in the stalls. KARATAGE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Miller was questioned with regard to the improved performance of KARATAGE compared to this filly's previous performance on the 09 April 2017. Mr Miller explained that this filly had run in a minor feature on that day and further explained that this filly was unsuited to the prevailing soft underfoot track condition. The Board noted his explanation. In view of the Starter's report concerning JUDITH ANNE, this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion. JUDITH ANNE over-raced in the early stages. Jockey Daniels reported that he felt something amiss with JUDITH ANNE in the closing stages and as a result he did not persevere with his ride. A tiring JUDITH ANNE shifted out approaching the 200 metre mark, carrying WANDIE'S outwards slightly. In view of the performance of LOBELIA and BLACK CASHMERE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. LOBELIA raced equipped with pacifiers. Vet: JUDITH ANNE - small cut left hind. LOBELIA - not striding out right hind. BLACK CASHMERE - nothing obvious detected. LEISURE TRIP - coughing. Scratched: KILMOKEA - not eating up. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
